Since in present days Israel is considered to be a medicinal cannabis super power, it seems a bit peculiar, almost unbelievable, that only a decade ago there were no cannabis growers around. In 2006 Tikun-olam ignited the cannabis revolution, it basically started a snow ball effect when applying for the first permit to grow cannabis for patients unable to do so themselves. Following that, an entire regulation process started, leading to the creation of a government agency dedicated exclusively for that matter. A flourishing startup industry followed as well. And, as shown bellow, a large trade of medical cannabis growers, each of which cultivate their own unique variety of strains.
